

Aurelia Giangrosso LaGesse, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away March 25, 2010. A native Houstonian, she was born January 27, 1929 at St. Joseph’s Hospital to Joseph and Theresa Giangrosso. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Lewis E. LaGesse; her sister Gigi and brother-in-law Paul Baccaro; daughter Margaret and son-in-law Mark Vander Voort; son Donald LaGesse; daughter Lori and son-in-law Louis Cento; grandsons Jeffrey and Michael LaGesse; nieces Sandra Morrow and Gina Baccaro; nephew Steve Baccaro; and numerous cousins. She cared deeply for her family and friends, and dedicated herself to her children and grandchildren.
“Rea” grew up in the Houston Heights, attending All Saints ES, St. Agnes HS, and graduated with honors from the University of Houston in 1949.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, March 28th in the Chapel of Earthman’s Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire, TX, 77401. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, March 29th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10330 Hillcroft, in Houston, 77096.
The Rite of Committal will follow in the Garden of Gethsemane at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey LaGesse, Mark Vander Voort, Louis Cento, Benjamin De George, Paul Vander Voort, and Mark Neely. Honorary Pallbearer and grandson Michael LaGesse is serving in the 1st Battalion 3rd Marines in Afghanistan.
