

A third generation Houstonian, Ed resided in Bellaire his entire life. Ed's great grandfather, Peter Wilson, was the first Wilson to step on Texas soil in 1839. Edward Houston Wilson was the youngest and only child born in Texas. Ed's father, Edward Houston Wilson, Sr. was born in 1871 and passed away in 1958.
Ed served in the U. S. Army during World War II in the 7th Armored Division in the Battle of the Bulge. Ed was a well known landscape contractor in the Bellaire area for more than 40 years. He was a member of the Presbyterian faith, a good friend and neighbor.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edward Houston Wilson, Sr., mother Bertha Wilson, two year old sister, Ione and second wife, Mildred Beatrice Howard Wilson.
He is survived by son, Jerry Edward Wilson and wife, Yvonne, Step daughter, Linda Harris Jones, grandson, Jerry Edward Wilson, Jr. and wife, Gina, grand daughter, Tina Elizabeth Wilson Crosby and husband Rodney, Misti Jones Vance and husband James Vance, Sherry Jones Malac and husband Jeff Malac. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Justin Edward Wilson, Jaidyn Renee Wilson, Brandon Michael Crosby, Cameron Marshall Crosby, Abigail Malac, Hunter Malac, Shelby Vance, Maven Vance. Ed will be truly missed.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, January 5, 2015 at Glenwood Cemetery.
