She is survived by her son Guy S. Jacobson and former husband Lt. Colonel George W. Jacobson.
Betty was a witness and survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941. She was a longtime Houston resident and an executive secretary for Dresser Rand. She finished her career as a financial counselor for Memorial Hermann Hospital in the medical center.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris St. Bellaire, TX 77401
