

JoAnn Fey passed away on May 31, 2015. JoAnn was born on March 29, 1937 in Houston and was a graduate of San Jacinto High School and the University of Texas at Austin. She was a long-time member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Sharpstown, and was active in the Alzheimer’s Association. She was a Physical Education teacher in Corpus Christi and Houston, and finished her career in education working in the administrative offices of T.H. Rogers School. JoAnn was a tireless champion of hearing loss causes, and was the founder of HAPHI, an advocacy group for parents of children with hearing impairments.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, William. She is survived by her son, Charles Fey; daughter, Melissa Billings and husband John; grandchildren Roxanne and Jonathan Fey, Megan and Samantha Billings; and brother James Studdert and wife Ginny.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home. A private burial will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
