John Gates Burum, age 71, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Johnny was a devoted father, a brilliant engineer, talented marksman, and a truly wonderful person who was loved by everyone who knew him.
Johnny is survived by Barbara Burum; their children, Claire, Marla, Caroline, and John Burum; eight grandchildren; sisters, Sylvia Gadbois Wolbert and Pat Perry; and numerous other loving relatives and a host of friends.
A Memorial Service honoring Johnny’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2011, at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris. Graveside Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale.
