Marie Davila Gerety

Marie Davila Gerety, 90, drifted peacefully into eternal sleep on the morning of April 29th, 2020. A private burial with her four children, and two of her siblings who live in Houston, was held at Woodlawn Cemetery on May 1st, 2020 at 10:00 am.

Marie loved to travel and had the opportunity of travelling in the U.S. representing educational organizations; in Europe, Latin America and China.

She is preceded in death by her father Rafael Roman Davila and her mother Berta Useche Davila.

She is survived by her 4 children: Maria Elena (Ken) Ancarrow, Ed Gerety Jr, Michael (Brett) Gerety and Frances (Mike) McNeil; her 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her siblings: Julie (Henri) DeYbarrando, Fr. Rafael Davila, and Michael (Kyle) Davila.

Once we are further along into a post-Covid-19 social distancing world, and can gather more safely, a Funeral Mass with family and friends will be held. At this time, Marie would just want everyone to be safe in these difficult times, remember her smile, her sweet disposition and her love of board games.
