

Marion Jackson Tabor soared to heaven into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 12, 2012. Jackson was born in Winston County, Mississippi on January 29, 1931. He graduated from Ball High School, Galveston, Texas. He received his Bachelors of Business Administration from Baylor University in 1952 and The Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from the University of Houston School of Law in 1962. In 1961 he passed the State Bar exam prior to completion of his law degree and for fifty one years he was a member of the State Bar of Texas. He was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Texas and all Federal and State District Courts of the State of Texas. He practiced law in Houston for forty-eight years until his retirement in 2008. He served his country honorably both in the United States Coast Guard and the Army of the United States.
He is preceded in death by his parents, I. Jackson and Marguerite Tabor and a brother, Harry Tabor.
Left to mourn his death is his loving and beloved wife of thirty-three years, Jymmye Butler-Tabor; his brother, Dr. Herbert Tabor of Amarillo, TX; five children, Tina Marie Tabor of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Gene Butler, Ronnie Butler and Lawrence Butler of Houston, and Ilene Butler of Pearland, Texas. He leaves behind to chrish his memory, eight grandchildren, and two great-granchildren: Sean and Kevin McGovern of Lake Jackson, Texas; Erica Butler and Jackson Martinez of Houston; Jimmy, Julie and Jackie Lamb of Pearland, Texas; and Ronny Lee Butler of Houston; Gracie Biondolillo and Cayden Lamb of Pearland, Texas.
Jackson leaves a void in the hearts of a host of nieces and nephew as well as many close friends. His friends were special to him; however he most especially loved and appreciated Donna Lawrence, Amy Bunyard and Pedro Martinez. These special friends gifted him with his eight grandchildren.
