Pepito lived a life filled with laughter, friendship, resilience, and deep devotion to family. Known for his outgoing personality, signature Ray-Bans, and enjoyment of sharing stories and a cold beer (or smooth whiskey) with loved ones, he brought warmth and joy wherever he went. While he had a modest upbringing in the Philippines, orphaned early by the passing of his father during World War II and raised singly by his widowed mother, he graduated with a B.S. Civil Engineering degree from Mapua Institute of Technology. He was a proud civil engineer and was honored to be among the engineers involved in the design of the iconic San Juanico Bridge, a lasting symbol of connection and strength.
Above all, Pepito was a loving husband, brother-in-law, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, whose greatest happiness came from being surrounded by family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Celina Aspi; his children, Oyette and Joey(+) Blanco, Tonette and Allan Ramos, Eric Aspi, Annabelle and Ray Pura, Katherine and Hector Juarez, Jojo and Cheryl Aspi, and Adrian and Joann Aspi; his cherished grandchildren, Andrea and Cameron Robinson, Michael and Gina Blanco, Jana and Nick Amundson, Jerilee Ramos and Derrick Robertson, Joleen and Blake Hodits, Julien Ramos, Morgan Pura, Kate Pura, Maddie Juarez, Nico Juarez, Jonathan Aspi, Mia Aspi, Allyson Aspi, and Stephen Aspi; and his precious great-grandchildren, Leona Robinson, Charlie Robinson, and Lewis Blanco.
He is also loving remembered by his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, cousins whom he considered his own siblings, and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives in the United States and the Philippines.
Pepito will be remembered for his joyful spirit, generosity, unwavering love for family, and the many lives he touched through his kindness, humor, and presence. Though deeply missed, his legacy lives on in the stories, laughter, faith, and love shared by all who knew and cherished him deeply.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St., Bellaire, TX 77401, on May 17, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
