

Ralph Cantu passed away on March 18, 2026. He was born July 02, 1945, in Harlingen, Texas. He graduated from West High School in Cleveland, Ohio and later attended the UT Rio Grande Valley at Edinburg.
Ralph honorably served as a Radioman in the US Naval Submarine Service during Vietnam and was recognized with the National Defense Service Medal.
Ralph’s passion for technology and communication led him to a distinguished career as a broadcast engineer. He continued to share his expertise as a video production engineer and contractor, making a lasting impact in the industry.
Ralph’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by Linda, his wife of 56 years, his three children Michelle, Eric, and John, his seven grandchildren, his brothers, Bob and Joe Cantu and sisters Mary Trivitt and Linda Juarez and numerous nephews and nieces.
Ralph was a remarkable friend and advocate for the Country and Tejano music community. He generously supported many music artists in and outside the Houston area, earning the respect and gratitude of countless friends and colleagues.
A service honoring the extraordinary life of Ralph Cantu will be held at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet Street, Bellaire, Texas, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM, followed by a reception. Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Ralph are warmly invited to celebrate his memory and legacy.
