Robert Sheldon Marnoy, MD, born in Brookline, Massachusetts on June 29, 1927, died February 18, 2013. He gratefully acknowledged Roxbury Latin for preparing him for future academic challenges. He graduated from Harvard College, Boston University Medical School, Harvard, MPH.
He served in the United States Army in the ski troops. Dr. Marnoy would never touch a ski again.
He practiced OB/GYN in Boston for 23 years and was an assistant professor OB/GYN at Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Hospital. In 1980 he moved to Houston to be a medical director at Shell Oil. Dr. Marnoy
had the joy of having served his profession at the highest levels.
He was a very good man and evolved to become a most loving devoted (even funny) husband to his wife, Carol Speigel for 59 years and his children, Steve, Judy Fulin and Don, and his grandchildren Ali Atkins and Sam, and Lou Marnoy.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1101 Antoine, Houston, TX 77055.
