"Papo" as he affectionately called, was born in Panama, son of Hans and Annie Heymann, who were Holocaust survivors. He attended the University of Louisville Kentucky and UC Berkley were he earned a degree as a Chemical Engineer. His passion was to continuously improve and perfect chemical processes and mechanical devices. His interest shifted to the pulp and paper industry, where he would concentrate most of his 65 year career. On October 7th 1961 he married the love of his life Judy Szathmary. They raised 2 children Idette and Richard. They celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Papo was a life learner who loved to create and invent. He combined his two favorite hobbies to create many interesting garage projects that were much admired by friends and family, He was a wonderful dancer and did not shy away from new experiences that varied from figure skating to new computer programing languages. He was known for his quick wit and infectious smile.
Papo was preceded in death by his parents Hans & Annie, and by his beloved sister Raquel Haiat Heymann, He is survived by his wife Judy, his two children, Idette & Richard, his beloved son in law Argie, his 6 grandchildren Brandon, Benjamin, Samantha, Jacob Michelle, Annabelle and several cousins, his loving nephew Isi, and beloved cousin Dr. Alex Marchosky.
A graveside funeral will be held Thursday, December 6th at Forest Park East Dignity (21620 Gulf freeway, Webster Texas 77598), at 2 pm. If you would like to further honor the memory of Roberto Peter Heymann

After the service, family and friends are welcome to our home. 2304 Columbia circle, League City, TX 77573 for a reception. The family will be observing shiva till Monday December 10th. Due to Judy's delicate health issues, visiting hours are daily from 2-5 pm.
