

Sandy was born on August 18, 1941 in Moreauville, Louisiana, and spent most of her adult life in Houston, Texas. Sandy passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord after a brief illness on Saturday, May 24, 2014.
Sandy will be remembered by her family and her many friends as a creative and beautiful person who remained beautiful inside and out, until the day she died. She was kind, considerate, thoughtful, and an elegant and gracious hostess who often opened her home to others. But she was also courageous and strong in the face of adversity and a support to others in need.
Sandy is survived by her daughter Lisa Bath Van de Vate of Seattle, Washington, brother Carl Coco of Moreauville, Louisiana, grandson Mason Van de Vate of San Antonio, Texas and Aunt Rosemary Willis of Marksville, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her parents Lois R. and Lester J. Coco.
Sandy served as Chief Operating Officer of Southwest Services, a refueling base for aircraft at Ellington Air Force Base, for eight years.
A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2014 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris Street, Bellaire, Texas 77401. A funeral mass will be said at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on May 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM.
Sandy will be interred at the family cemetery in Moreauville, Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Sandy’s honor.
