Anthony (Vic) Gallo entered into eternal rest with our Holy Father early April 2, 2011, surrounded by love ones. He was born March 3, 1924 in New Orleans, La. His family moved to Houston in the 1930’s.
He is preceded in death by his Mother, Florence Alberti Gallo, Father, Anthony Gallo and big brother, Joseph Gallo. After he graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1941, he enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corp. at the age of seventeen, much to the dismay of mother Florence. He served in the Pacific theatre until the War’s conclusion in 1945.
He returned to Houston and went to work for Benson Tractor Co. on Almeda Rd and in 1947 he married his beloved wife of 64 years, Joy. He was totally driven and provided everything he could for his family and kept working until the early 90’s when he finally retired but began pursuing one of his passions- softball in the mid 80’s.
