Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence (Bud) Lee Rainey, who passed away on April 23, 2009; son, Richard Lee Rainey who passed away on September 14, 2001; parents, Thomas and Elva, nee Buffard, Heggs, Jr.; three sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are her loving children, Thomas Lee Rainey, Sr., of Belleville, Illinois, David Lee Rainey of Belleville, Illinois and Patricia Lee (Bob) Head of St. Ann, Missouri; grandchildren, Annette Sanders, Thomas Lee Rainey, Jr., Richard Lee Rainey, II., Jonathan Rainey, Daniel Rainey, Victoria Rainey, Andrew Rainey and Zachary Blues; and Three great granddaughters.
