

Colt worked for Grey Eagle Distributing in Belleville and was the shop steward. He was a member of the St. Clair Lodge No. 24, A.F. & A.M, Belleville, Illinois and the Ainad Shriners of Southern Illinois. He participated and helped his stepson in the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed making others laugh and had a great sense of humor. He loved fishing, camping and spending time outdoors. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He was always willing to lend a hand to family, friends or strangers, alike. Colt was a loving father, son, brother, boyfriend and friend, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Marjorie, nee Mosher, Eiskant and his paternal grandfather, Dale F. Hoffarth.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved son, Lincoln Hoffarth; his significant other and mother of his son, Danielle Hunter, his stepson, Bentley Knapp; his parents, Dale R. (Jill M. Weil) Hoffarth and Constance Kay Eiskant; his paternal grandmother, Jacqueline (McCarey) Brendel; his siblings, Aaron (Elizabeth Schoenenberg) Hoffarth and Christen (Robert) Zirkelbach; his niece, Madison; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Due to current Covid-19 mitigations, services are being held privately with Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home with Monsignor William Hitpas officiating. Interment will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
