

Darleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, godmother, and friend. She cherished her faith, enjoyed baking, sewing, and loved playing cards with “The Jolly Teens”. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and never missed a game. Darleen worked alongside her husband, Ronald, at their family business, Professional Auto Supply in Freeburg, Ill. and later as a sales representative for Journal Messenger in New Athens, Ill.
A passionate member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in New Athens, Ill, Darleen found fulfillment in her church community.
God called her to be His angel and Darleen is now reunited in Heaven with her loving husband of 59 years, Ronald T Conner and her parents, Erwin and Myrtle Winter.
Surviving are her daughters, Rhonda Howard and Ellen McGee; grandsons Troy Nastoff, Ryan Nastoff and Joseph McGee; a brother Vernon (Toni) Winter, a sister-in-law, Elaine Conner; godchildren, Debby Rhame, Crystal Dovers, and Jeffrey Rowald.
Although Darleen has left this earth, her unconditional love, kindness, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Darleen’s name to St John’s United Church of Christ, New Athens, Ill.
A private celebration of life for immediate family will be held on Ronald and Darleen’s wedding anniversary.
