

Frances Ellen Fritz, nee Howard, 93, born September 11, 1923 on a farm in Fairfield, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at St. Anthony's at de Greeff Hospice House, St. Louis, Missouri.
Mrs. Fritz, was a member of St. Mathew’s Methodist Church and sang in the choir for 50 years, she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Eastern Star, the Re Election Campaign – Mel Price, she was involved with Meal on Wheels for over thirty years, the new Life Club, Various Charity work for 25 years, she loved to read, enjoyed all types of music and was a member of the Kitchen Band.
Mrs. Fritz was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Calvin C. Fritz whom she married on June 16, 1946 in St. Paul’s Methodist Church, East St. Louis, Illinois and passed away on March 8, 2014; her parents, John William and Nellie Mae, nee Seed Howard; a brother, John Frederick Fritz and eight sisters, Lillian Allen, Helen Dickson, Margaret Neil, Thelma Carl, Mary Johnston ,Peggy Beck, Catherine Riglesberger and Patricia Ganousis.
Surviving are her loving and devoted sons, Howard (Nancy) Fritz and Scott (Kathleen) Fritz; grandchildren, Timothy Fritz and Angela Fritz; great grandchildren, Thomas Henry Fritz and Jonathan Scott Fritz.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be held in held, along side her husband, in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
