Irma Scharf

Irma was a lifelong member of the Concordia United Church of Christ in Belleville, Illinois. She was a retired meat cutter with the Armour Packing Company. She was a lifetime member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Irma loved to crochet, she donated her crochet items to many of church functions and both family and friends.

Irma is preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Lena, nee Haas, Scharf; siblings, Clarence Scharf, Edgar Scharf, Harold Scharf, Edna Scharf and Alma Scharf and a brother in law, Harold Vogt.

Surviving are her sister, Frieda Vogt; nieces and nephews, Kathy (Fred) Bruss and Mike Vogt (Heather Muckensturm); great nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Eddie) Meyer, Emily Vogt and Ryan Vogt; great great niece, Brittney Creamer, also, survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives family and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois

Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois with Pastor David Krueger of Concordia United Church of Christ officiating.

Interment will be held following services in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois
