In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her sister Janis Diepenbrock.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 48 years, James McKinney; daughters Megan (Warren) Lambert; Brean (Chris) Winterbauer; Christine Hill; grandchildren, Nathan (Trisha) Culley; Madison Hill; Alec Hill; Haleigh Winterbauer; Isabella Winterbauer; Connor Winterbauer; Adaline Lambert; and one on the way. She also leaves great granddaughter Layla Coffman; brothers, Jack Thomas; Jimmy Thomas; and many nieces, nephews, and distant relatives.
Jean enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren attending as many of their events and activities as she could. She also enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband. Jean spent many happy years involved with school district 175.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
A service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home. Friends may gather with family Monday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home.
