

She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ and the New Life Club at St. Matthew’s Church. Joan enjoyed painting, travelling, attending the MUNY and the Looking Glass Playhouse. She was a renaissance woman and was very proud of her government service at Scott AFB. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Jackson; parents, Ralph & Ruth, nee Duncan, Lesher; brother, Robert Kemp; and son-in-law, Harold Kehl.
Joan is survived by her loving daughters; Vicki (Stephen) Schaefer, Janet Kehl; grandchildren, Sarah (Steven) Johnson, Stephanie (Nick) Berry, Brian (Jamie) Kehl, Scott (Heather) Schaefer; great-grandchildren, Sierra, Patrick, Elsie, Chance, Caleb, Christian, Silas, Quentin, and Isaac.
Memorials in Joan’s name may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the Employee Fund for The Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows.
