John J Evans Jr.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John J. and Berniece L. (Czarnecki) Evans, Sr., a brother, Jolla John Evans, a sister, Josephine Janice Monroe, and brothers-in-law, Gary Monroe and Earl Erlinger.

Surviving are his two sisters, Juanita Joyce (Marcus) Robinson of Geneva, FL, and Joy Jolene Erlinger of Collinsville, IL, son, Tony Evans, daughters, Becky (Shawn) Compton, and Monica Shepard, and his grandchildren, and

John served valiantly in the United States Army and later worked at Grantham Trucking.

When he wasn’t working, John enjoyed, model trains, fishing, watching wrestling, was a master tinkerer and loved spending time with family and friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 10th, 2022 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 10th, 2022 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
