

Leroy E Reeves, formerly of Swansea passed away December 26,2020 with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life Alice Sue Reeves ( Daniel ), a son David Reeves, his parents Eber & Ethel Reeves. He is survived by his daughter Debbie Karr and grandchildren Neal and Loretta Francis, Brandon and Cara Karr & Katlyn Karr, and great grandchildren Aiden, Garrett, Lincoln, Teo and Amaya. Leroy is survived by a sister Carolyn Czekanski of California and a brother in law, Bill (Margie) Daniel of Collinsville, and many nieces and great nieces and nephews.
Leroy was a graduate of E St Louis High School and from there went into the Naval Reserves Fighter Squadron for 8 years. He also attended Rankin Tech, Washington University and SIU where he graduated with many degrees in engineering. He went on to work at McDonnell Douglas in St Louis as an Industrial & Areo Space Engineer. While working at McDonnell Douglas he built their family home on a farm in Fults Il. In 1977 they moved to Caseyville and they purchased the Dairy Haven. He retired from McDonnell Douglas and then 16 yrs later sold the Dairy Haven and moved to Branson, where he built 2 more homes. In his retirement he loved to sing at Silver Dollar City. Eventually they moved back to Illinois to be close to family. He and his wife did extensive traveling to many countries. He was a member of McDonnell Douglas Gem & Mineral Society, O'Fallon Fishing Club, Marine Coin Club, Dupo and Collinsville Coin Club. He loved to go rock hounding, fishing, singing church hymns, and he still bbq'd every Sunday. He was a member and taught Sunday School at Cornerstone Christian Church in Belleville. His amazing stories and laughter are truly a blessing to everyone that he shared them with.

Funeral: Due to current Covid-19 mitigations, services are being held privately with Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois. Interment will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
