He was born on April 13th, 1930 in Magnolia, Mississippi.
He was married to Mary Jeanette Simmons who preceded him on death on January 19th, 2019, he was also preceded in death by his parents Wyman L. and Estelle (Irwin) Simmons, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Maude and Stuart Look of Belleville, Illinois, two sisters, Sophie and Margie, one brother, George, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gerry and Paul Appel of Belleville, Illinois and a brother-in-law, Dean Lihs of Belleville, Illinois. Marlin and Mary had no children.
Marlin is survived by his sister-in-law, June Lihs of Hannibal, Missouri, a niece, Pam (Roger) Grebe of Hannibal, Missouri and a nephew, Steve (Linda) Appel of Maryville, Illinois.
Marlin completed high school and went directly into the military. He served his country in the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam Wars and was honorable discharged from the United States Air Force on February 18th, 1964. Marlin enjoyed golfing, and his guitar.
Graveside Service will be Wednesday, July 14th, 2021 at 1:30 pm at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
