Mary K. Hill

Mary K. Hill, nee Wachter, 84 of Belleville, Il. , born February 3, 1933 in E. St. Louis, Il., died May 8, 2017 at the Freeburg Care Center, Freeburg, IL. Mrs. Hill attended the Villa Hills Baptist Church in Belleville. She was formerly employed by Ultra Life Laboratories and Kmart in Belleville, Il. She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts, a member of the PTA and the gathering place for the boys in the neighborhood involved in sports where they could always depend on homemade cookies and cupcakes. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, Hirchel Edward Hill, Sr., her parents, Ferdinand and Lucille Wachter, a brother Ferdinand Wachter, and a brother-in-law, Robert Hill. Surviving are her two sons, Hirchel E. (Linda) Hill, Jr. of Belleville, Il. and Richard A.(Evelyn) Hill, Sr. of Centerton, Ar.; grandchildren Hirchel E. (Jill) Hill III of Belleville, IL, Carolyn (Paul) Rarick of Belleville and Spec. Richard A (Melissa) Hill, Jr. of Watertown, N.Y.; great-grandchildren Rachel Karstens, Holden and Luca Hill, all of Belleville, IL. Also surviving are her sister, Gloria (Charles) Mondy of Glen Carbon, Il; brother-in-law, Lyle Eugene (Katherine) Hill of Waterloo, IL , sisters-in-law Janice (Ronald) Dixon of Belleville, IL and Barbara Hill of Smithton, IL. Memorials in Mrs. Hill’s memory may be made to Backstoppers. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Funeral Home.

Interment in Valhalla Gardens of Memory will be held privately.
