Nancy Kay Jones Whitworth

Nancy, affectionately known as “Perky”, was a faithful, life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Belleville. She was very involved with her church and served as a Sunday School teacher there. Nancy loved all children and was extremely devoted to her granddaughters! Her interests included crocheting, photography, and paper crafting. Nancy’s love of flowers led her to a degree in Horticulture. She was the type of person who never met a stranger!

She was preceded in death by her father, Gale Jones and her fiancé, Richard Prosise.

She is survived by her mother, Kay Jones, whom she referred to as “her rock”; Sons, Christopher Whitworth and Brendan Whitworth; Granddaughters, Hailey Whitworth and Abigale Whitworth; Brother, John (Suzy) Hudson; Sisters, Jean (Dan) Van Hoose, Brenda Ravenscraft, Gail Jones-Johnson, and Sheryl (John) Dodson; Nieces and Nephews, John Hudson, Dan Van Hoose, Jr., Brad Van Hoose, Denise Wellinghoff, Babs Dunaway, Kelli Black, Michael Schupp, Kayla Ravenscraft, Heather Orr, Derek Dodson, Dylan Dodson, and Devin Dodson; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, December 1, 2014 at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Parkway West, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Services will be held Monday, December 1, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Harkness officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 at 11:00 am in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville.
