

Raymond was born June 22, 1937 in Belleville, IL to Wilmer and Olivia (Hilpert) Tribout. He married Jannith “Jann” J. McCoy on September 1, 1956; she preceded him in death on April 11, 2021.
Raymond was also preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Allison Tribout.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Vicki) Tribout of Clayton, DE, Raymond “Sonny” (Michelle) Tribout of Belleville, IL and Jannean (Art) Muehlfeld of Fairview Heights, IL; grandchildren; Heather (Tony) McNaughton, Kris (Annie) Miller, Matt (Joanne) Miller, Misty Tribout, Joseph (Danielle) Tribout, Rachel (Sam) Hutchinson, Greg (Renee) Muehlfeld, Eric (Lynda) Muehlfeld, Marissa (Cody) Womble, and Holly (Tyler Strahl) Muehlfeld and great-grandchildren; Kenney and Riley McNaughton, Garrett Miller, Connor and Emma Tribout, Asher, Liberty, Eleanor, Owen, Margaret and Lucielle Muehlfeld, Millie Strahl, Remington and Everleigh Womble; and one brother, Jerome (Mary) Tribout of Smithton, IL and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Raymond began his working career servicing appliances in 1953 then proudly earned his GED at SWIC Southwestern Illinois College. He owned and operated Tribout Appliance Services in the Fairview Heights & Belleville area.
He was a former school board member for Pontiac-William Holliday School District 105 in Fairview Heights. He enjoyed his time and membership with Rod Benders in East St. Louis. Other interests included the Belleville Angel of Hope Monument and Relay for Life, alongside his wife, Jann. He was a devout Catholic throughout his life.
Ray loved his family dearly and will be truly missed.
A visitation for Ray will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held following the visitation, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Final interment will be held at Valhalla Gardens of Memory.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
