I know that you don't know me, but my mom, Ora, and Bob's mom, Laura were sisters.  After Aunt Laura died, we lost touch with my Uncle Jack Fruhwirth and Bob.  We knew Sissy and did keep in touch with her over the years.  It is with sadness that she called to let us know about Bob.  You and your whole family has our sympathy and prayers.  He looks alot like his sister, Caroline 'Sissy' and I was thrilled to see a photo of his dad Jack.  He was just like I had remembered him to be.  They use to come to country to see us when they were little and were the same age as my sister, Leora Uthe.
My mom, Ora and Laura were about the same age and were very close as well as with Ella Hance and Lena Delahay.   Those in Mokane, Mo will also be sad to hear the news.  I, Cheryl Bote now Stuermann, was much younger and Bob maybe barely remembered me.  But I remembered him being 9 yrs older than me.  My sorrow to all.  Cheryl Bote Stuermann, a 1st cousin.  
Joan Manta, do you have a brother named Joe who was or might be a chiropractor?   I use to have a good one who practiced in Montgomery City, MO and he was from a really large family he said.  (Just wondering)

I'll always remember your Dad rooting us on from the sidelines in high school and during our Khoury League games in the summer. I'm so sorry for your loss, and grateful for the memories of him that I carry ... Hugs to you, friend.

Joan, Terri, and Lisa: We are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing and will be keeping you in our thoughts during this difficult time.

I worked with Bob in the 70's on a Job Corps project.  He taught me how to do an enrollment.  I always enjoyed his company.  He was the real deal.  My condolances to his family.  Wes Moss

Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss.  I knew Bob for most of my career with the Department of Employment Security. He was a valued friend.

During that time Bob and I had many conversations, and there was never a time when I heard him say one thing that might be considered inappropriate - Never a word of profanity, never an unkind word about another person. He might smile and shake his head over a remark by someone, but never more than that. 

When the job as auditor became open I urged Bob to apply for it because of his sterling character and honesty. He did, and he got the job. At the time I was a supervisor in the Belleville office and I knew all the auditing staff. They welcomed Bob and helped him to become a part of the team.

Cherish your memory of Bob, and he will live within you for the rest of your days.
