

Robert was a retired Staff Sergeant for the United States Air Force, serving in both WW II and the Korean Conflict. He was proud of his American Native Heritage and was a member of the Cherokee Nation.
His family and friends will miss his colorful stories. Robert was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and he will have all their Love Always.
Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Anna A., nee Schwahn, Johnson who passed away on December 21, 2010; parents, David and Nancy, nee Palone, Johnson; brothers, Jimmy Johnson, Tipton Johnson, David Johnson; sister, Cleo Johnson; and great granddaughter, Christian Stair.
Surviving are his loving and devoted children, Robert James (Mary) Johnson of Belleville, Illinois, Judy (Jim) Lynch of Freeburg, Illinois, Susan Johnson of St. Joseph, Missouri and Merry (Michael) Stempel of Mascoutah, Illinois; grandchildren, Jim (Kristy) Lynch, Jerry Lynch, Cassie (Justin) Friederich, Shanen Miller, Joshua Clements, and Shane Clements; great grandchildren, Olivia Lynch, Joey Lynch, Jarrett Friederich and Jacob Stair; brother, Wade Johnson; brother-in-law, Don (Kathy) Schwahn; sister-in-law, Geraldine Whittier; also, survived by, nieces, nephews and other relatives, family and friends.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the funeral home, with Pastor Charles West officiating.
Interment will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
