Russell Ray Richardson, 85, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly of Belleville, entered eternal rest on May 16, 2019. He is the husband of Peggy J. Richardson, nee Francka, who preceded him in death on December 17, 2018.
Mr. Richardson is survived by his children, Ron (Jeri) Richardson of Belleville, Sherry Copeland of Cape Girardeau and Dianna "Dee" Lack of Ballwin, Mo.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister Rosemary (Calvin) Molt. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, George and Eliza, nee Applegate, Richardson and eight brothers and sisters.
Mr. Richardson was retired from the U.S. Air Force and Civil Service. He was a VIP member of the Casino Queen.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, May 21, at St. Teresa Catholic Church. 1201 Lebanon Ave, Belleville, Ill. 62221. Visitation will be from 9 am until the time of service. Interment will follow at 2 pm at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis, Mo. 63125.
