Tom was born on February 19th, 1960 in Albuquerque, NM, to Carolyn and Thomas Roff Sr. His father was a Colonel in the United States Air Force which took their family all over the country as Tom grew up. This gave him an eternal passion for serving our military men and women, something he would do throughout his life. He graduated from High School, Belleville East in 1978 and graduated from college, Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelors in Business Administration in 1982 where he also played college football. Shortly after graduating he married his high school sweetheart, Kim Tedesco, and enjoyed nearly 40 years of marriage while raising two sons. Tom spent his professional career in the semiconductor industry working with various companies in California, Utah, Texas, and finally, Colorado where he retired in 2014 as the VP of World Wide Operations for Atmel Corporation. A tremendous leader and businessman, Tom traveled the globe creating lasting and deep-seated relationships with his work peers that stretch all over the world.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fly fishing. He traveled across North America sharing hunting and fishing experiences with his friends and family. His close companion and four-legged son Deke, a grandmaster champion hunting dog, accompanied him on many of those trips and was very close to Tom’s heart. Tom’s love of sports saw him positively affect the lives of many young men as he head coached highly competitive and successful football and baseball teams. The lasting influence he had on the young men he coached was one of his most coveted accomplishments in his life.
