Arloene La Mae Mares

Arloene (Ardee) La Mae Mares, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2023. Ardee was born January 4, 1937, in Madison, South Dakota, the daughter of the late John Ernest Lindstrom and Rose Mildred Swanson Lindstrom. Ardee grew up in Portland, Oregon and moved to Seattle where she met and married Robert Mares in 1957. Together they raised three daughters.

Ardee, a longtime resident of Mercer Island, Washington, enjoyed traveling, tennis, bridge, gourmet cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by her daughters Kathy Mares (Joseph Walter), Lois Mares (Greg Arms), and Linda Mares Titus (Bruce Titus); grandchildren Devon and Kelsey Walter, David and Rachel Arms, Courtney Titus Barr (Nicholas Barr), Michael (Erika), Kelly, and Matthew Titus; and four great-grandchildren, Collin, Connor, and Caroline Barr and Everett Titus.
