Babs was born in Seattle on July 8th 1955 to Joseph and Joy Menard, she was the oldest of 2 children. She died at home, peacefully in her sleep with her husband and daughter nearby. She graduated from Interlake High School in 1973. Babs went on to have 5 children, 2 of which died prematurely which drove her to attend Nursing school at Bellevue Community College, and then go on to care for infants at Seattle Children's Hospital for 13 years. In 2000, she started working at Harborview before becoming a traveling nurse for a few different companies until she retired in 2018
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Joy Menard, sons James Miller and Joseph Miller, sister Camille Martlin, and nephew Max Martlin.
She is survived by her beloved husband Robert Kratz of Bellevue WA, son Andrew Miller of Seattle WA, daughters Alea Michaelini (Justin) of Everett WA and Alissa Miller of Redmond WA, granddaughters Journey Michaelini and Kyra Kline, along her step-daughter Jessi Royer (Sean) of Wellington CO, step-sons Jason Kratz of Fort Collins CO and Josh Kratz of Fort Collins CO, step-granddaughters Angel Lundeby of Water Valley MS and Ashley Sanchez of Severance CO, and 2 great grand children of Water Valley MS
