Debby was born on July 2, 1963, in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, and from the very beginning she carried a warmth that drew people to her. She grew up surrounded by the love of her parents, Rich and Yoshie, and alongside her sisters Janet, Michelle, and Kim. That strong family foundation shaped the woman she became—loyal, generous, and deeply devoted to the people in her life. Wherever Debby went, she created a sense of belonging. She had a natural gift for making others feel welcomed, seen, and valued.
Family was the center of Debby’s world. She was a proud and loving mother to Brandon, Chelsea, and Lexi. Her children were her greatest joy and her constant source of pride. She shared Brandon and Chelsea with her first husband, Vince, and welcomed Lexi with Greg. In every season of her life, Debby remained committed to nurturing her family with patience, humor, and unconditional love. She celebrated their successes, supported them through challenges, and never missed an opportunity to remind them how deeply they were loved.
Debby dedicated more than 30 years of her life to serving as a flight attendant with United Airlines. She took pride in her work and approached it with professionalism, grace, and heart. The skies were her second home, and she carried herself with the calm confidence of someone who genuinely cared about the comfort and safety of others. Over the decades, she formed lasting friendships with colleagues and left a meaningful impression on countless passengers. Her career reflected her spirit—adventurous, compassionate, and always moving forward.
Though she traveled the world, Hawaii was her happy place. The islands brought her peace and joy, and she embraced their beauty, warmth, and spirit of aloha. Debby loved gathering family and friends, especially around food. Her delicious Spam musubi became legendary—made with care and shared generously. In her final chapter, she shared her life with her husband Brent, building a partnership rooted in love and shared memories. Debby’s legacy is one of kindness, strength, devotion, and joy. She lived fully, loved deeply, and leaves behind a family and community forever better because she was here.
