I have many memories of visits with Ellen. On one of our visits to Ellen’s, she asked me if I would cut her hair. I had been a cosmetologist so of course I was happy to do that. I bought a scissors at Walmart. It is almost always nice in AZ, so we would go out to the garage or patio and I would cut her hair. We put the scissors, cape, and comb tucked away on a shelf. On a visit back, when we were getting ready for another haircut, we could not find the scissors anywhere. Nobody seemed to be able to remember where we put the hair cutting tools. On the next run to Walmart, I bought another scissors. Ellen had her haircut and lo and behold, wouldn’t you know it, while putting away the new scissors, I found the old pair. We all had a laugh at our failing memories! I then put the new scissors away as we chanted, “Don’t forget, they are on this shelf. Don’t forget!” I may not always remember where I put the scissors, but I will always remember Ellen.
