

James Patrick Holden passed away June 20, 2010. He was born July 6, 1917 in Chelan, Washington to Catherine and Simon Holden. After graduating from Chelan High School in 1936, Pat moved to Cle Elum where he met and married Cecilia Clark in 1939. While in Cle Elum, he worked for the Standard Oil Company, the Milwaukee Railroad, and as a coal miner for 15 years. In 1955 Pat moved his family to Seattle where he ended up working 25 years for Associated Grocers as a warehouse supervisor.
Pat and Cecilia moved to Bellevue in 1959 where they lived until Cecilia's death in 1991 after 52 years of marriage. In 1993 Pat married his very first high school sweetheart, Betty Crawford. They lived on Lake Chelan and in East Wenatchee until Betty's death in 2008. Pat returned to Western Washington living at Bothell's Riverside East Retirement Community where he resided for the past 21 months.
Pat was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge, he enjoyed gardening, and attacking any dust that dared to enter his home. He was a generous man who loved his family.
Pat's survivors include: brother Jay (Alice) of Salem, Oregon; sons Dan (Kay) of Woodinville, and James (Karen) of Palouse; grandchildren Julie (Tom), Zach (Roxanne) and Samantha; and, great grandchildren Cole and Kennedy. Cole and Kennedy enjoyed special visits with "Super Bubba".
