Mrs. Bieler was a standout teacher among the standouts. It breaks my heart to have learned of her loss. But the students whose lives she touched are forever the lucky ones. She obviously loved her work because I never saw her without a smile. She understood kids, especially at that difficult middle school age, and she had the ability to inspire them, make them feel seen and supported, as well as set expectations and make sure the kids understood them. She was the ASB advisor for the year my daughter was a student representative, and she was my son's teacher as well. I still have an email she sent in response to a quick note I once sent, and she replied with such kind words and insight into my son's true personality that I marveled at the depth of her perception. While her loss is tremendous, I hope her family always finds peace in being reminded of what a gift she was as a mother, wife, daughter, teacher, and more.

It's hard to believe it's been 2 years. You are greatly loved, deeply missed. 
Kristen your greatest legacy are your children Alec, Anna and Taryn who you would be so proud of today. But of course you know that as you walk beside them in life each day.  Who was it that said  "When you lose someone you love, you gain an angel you know".

I am so sorry to hear about this loss, I had her for my 6th grade social studies and she was honestly amazing, very understanding and kind to someone like me. Such a sweet woman taken too soon but I know she is now without pain or sorrow, just heard about this news and again, my best wishes to her family

Mrs. Bieler was the type of person and teacher who made 6th grade learning fun. I always looked forward to her class and remember enjoying my time spent with her. She was so well liked at Tillicum, we would rush to her classroom for tutorial just to sit on the couch and talk. Even when I was in high school and college, I made it a point to go check in and see how she was doing from time to time. 

Thousands of students never saw the work she, and other teachers put into making 6th grade camp possible. A big thanks to Mrs. Bieler for giving me the opportunity to be part of that, along with staying in touch as a friend for so long. The Winter family will miss her. 

Mrs. Beiler was my 6th grade social studies teacher in 2020. That year we had found out that she had gotten cancer. Everyone loved her so much and she brought a lot of life into our world. She was an amazing teacher. I will miss here everyday of my life

I had the pleasure of working with and knowing Kristen for the past 8 years. She loved her family and brought that same love and caring to her work and students. Her contagious laugh, indomitable positivity, and boundless caring, all made Tillicum a better place. She touched so many lives and we all miss her very much.

Kristen as a teacher you were such an inspiration to me. You  were truly loved and respected by all of your students. I truly measured my abilities to teach or connect with students based on whether I was even kindly mentioned in a conversation about you. You were such a great  role model for tillicum students. Sixth grade camp was where you really showed us all how amazingly talented you really were. You made the hard work look so easy. When I was a teacher at tillicum I always tried to watch and learn from you and I will always carry great memories of your amazing abilities to get students to care and listen.




Some many amazing things to say about Mrs.Bieler, I’m not sure where to even start! Her smile would glow through the hallways at school, her laugh was beyond contagious and she always advocated for her students! Beyond grateful for everything she taught me and continued to teach many students after me! Your light will always continue to shine bright! We love and miss you! 

I taught at Tillicum for 30 years. 10 of those with Kristen. By far she was one of my favorite people to teach with and be around. When I visited  her classroom she always greeted me a smile, positive word and a great laugh. 
She will be missed by many.

Awesome human being and a fun loving teacher. She not only made 6th grade camp fun for me during my year but she continued making it a memory for a life time. When I came back to volunteer I felt like I was reliving my best year all over again. She was hilarious, kind, and one of those teachers you felt comfortable just chatting with. Mrs. Bieler, always loved, never forgotten! 

I was in Mrs. Bieler's 6th grade class in 1999. She was the first teacher I ever had that made me want to become a teacher. I absolutely adored her. She made every student feel seen and heard. One of the kindest human's I have met. I will forever be grateful to her for the spark she lit to pursue a career I adore. Sending so much love to her family. 

Kristen's smile would light up the room. I will miss her positivity and compassion for others, as well as her playful sense of humor. It was an honor and a privilege to know her and call her my friend. Rest in peace, dear friend. 

Kristen was loved by everyone who met her. She was a wonderful wife to Matthew. She was a fantastic mother and she never yelled at Alec Anna or Taryn. She always spoke in a calm soft tone when correcting her children. She was an awesome daughter-in-law and I will miss her so much.   I love you Kristen and I will miss you so much.
