

Lawrence passed away March 15, 2011. He was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Sarah and Lawrence Goodrich September 28, 1927 the sixth of seven children. Much of his early life was spent in East Grand Forks, Minnesota and Milton, North Dakota. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Siboney during World War II and was first introduced to Washington at that time.
After military service, he returned to Minnesota and finished high school. He then attended college at the University of North Dakota. In school he met and eventually married Frances Baxter and is survived by his wife and two children, Craig Goodrich (Sara) and Julie Goodrich Doughty (Bill). He was predeceased by his daughter Patricia Goodrich Rees. He is the proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is survived by three sisters, Vange Wilson, Vera Hetland and Lorry Miller.
He moved his family to Seattle in 1955 for the opportunities of the growing aerospace industry. He moved to Bellevue in 1963 and has proudly watched the little city grow. He dabbled in real estate development and enjoyed talking with everyone he met. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and took pleasure in serving others.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service in his honor, Saturday, March 19,2011 at the Bellevue First Ward Chapel, 10675 NE 20th St. Bellevue, WA 98004 at 10:00 am, preceded by visitation at the Church at 9:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Overlake Hospital Foundation CCU unit, 1035 116th Ave. NE, Bellevue, WA 98004 or a charity of the donor's choice.
