Lois B. Cross

She is survived by her husband, Bill Cross; children, Megan Johnson and Ross McAllister; brothers, Galvin Petrovsky and Keith Petrovsky, and extended family; son-in-law, Mike Johnson, granddaughter, Chelsea Johnson, and extended family; stepchildren, Bill Cross, Joe Cross, Tom Cross, Veronica Ryan, Bob Cross, Ed Cross, John Cross, stepgrandson, William Cross, stepdaughter-in-law, Maria Lopez, and extended family.

Lois rose from humble beginnings in Montreal and married Clarence “Mac” McAllister, who also came from humble beginnings in rural Alberta, Canada. They moved to Southern California, adopted Megan and Ross, and after several years the family moved to Bellevue. Mac and Lois were married for 25 years when he passed away. Several years later Lois married Bill Cross, who is from New York State. They lived in Bellevue for 35 years. The family was always filled with love and laughter.

Lois also had a large and long-established AA family whom she loved, and they loved her. She spent much of her time helping people in their time of need, and she drew strength from those she helped.

She acquired compassion and wisdom along the way, was quick to defend those who were less able to defend themselves, and confidently voiced her strong opinions. If you said something that didn’t ring true, she wouldn’t hesitate to let you know — though always with a smile and love. She led a long and happy life.

A celebration of Lois' life will take place at 11:00 am Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1215 145th Place SE, Bellevue. Interment will take place at a later date at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, Bellevue.
