I have just read of the passing of Malcolm and re-read his letter to me dated April 29, 2003. He shared the Burnett family history leading back to the days of Charles E. B Flagg and Julia A. Hibben, his grandparents and my link to the Burnett family.

From my correspondence with Malcolm and many other closely related family members I gained a sense of strong bonds and love. Without meeting him, I know he was an intelligent and thoughtful man. You were lucky to have shared your lives with Regina and Malcolm for so many years.

Kindest thoughts and condolences to the family. I am grateful for his offspring who have blessed my family in so many ways. He seems to have been a man much like my husband of forty-five years.  I am certain he will be missed and remembered for his love, works, and devotion to his family.
