Our beloved mom, Mildred Eleanor (Lange) Barker, of Bellevue, WA, passed away surrounded by her loving children Crystal Madison, Lt. Col. Lance Barker and Heidi Barker daughter in-law. Born into modest means in Saskatchewan, Canada on August 10, 1935 to Hedwig and Arthur Lange, Mildred Eleanor grew up in Victoria, British Columbia where she loved school and excelled in sports, band and academics. As a young girl she sacrificed her own needs in order to help her family of 6 brothers and sisters. She imparted kindness and love throughout her life to family, friends and strangers. She helped children, abused women, and veterans. As a young beautiful bride she traveled and later relocated to the US where she became Vice-President and co-founder of Air Lab a successful family business in the aviation industry.
She battled lifelong illnesses, but through it all achieved success, touched so many lives, was the matriarch of our family; a tribute to her strength and determination. She passed on the love of travel, art, music, desire to forever acquire knowledge, and the Lord’s compassion. We love you Mom.
Mildred leaves behind 2 remaining brothers Warren Lange, Glen and wife Donna Lange, all who reside in British Columbia. She also leaves behind many precious nieces and nephew’s who reside in Washington and Canada
