Orville Lee Schwindt

Orville was born in Tuttle, North Dakota to Alexander and Lydia Schwindt in 1942 and passed away peacefully on March 2nd 2014 at the age of 71. He was the 6th child in a large family of 8 children. He married Carol Makedonsky in 1960 and moved to Kirkland, Washington where they raised three daughters.

Orville worked as a Cement Mason until a back injury interrupted his cement finishing career. Orville was a warm-hearted, fun-loving guy who never failed to put people at ease and bring laughter to any conversation. He loved his daughters, grandchildren, and his large family of brothers and sisters and enjoyed spending time with all of them. He was an avid Elvis Presley fan and loved music – particularly the Country and Western greats. Orville was a great musician himself and he loved to entertain people by playing his guitar and singing these favorite songs. He was a movie buff and could recite lines from most any movie at the drop of a hat. He enjoyed watching sports – particularly Mariner games. He was blessed with the gift of laughter even during difficult times.

He is preceded in death by his second wife, Bonnie Lee and is survived by his three daughters and spouses Michelle Camarda (Brendan) Shari Hyatt, Kristi Walker (Bill) and three beloved grandchildren, Dylan Hyatt (22), Nick Walker (18), and Hannah Walker (15). He is also survived by four step-children with Bonnie Lee - Tammy, Tanya, Susie, and Robbie and seven brothers, sisters and their spouses Arley (Alvina), Erma (Robert), Reiny (Marlys), Shirley (Monte preceded in death), Leo (Jeannette), Sandra (Chet), Alex (Bonnie), and first wife Carol Schwindt (Makedonsky).

Orville will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was generous, loving, funny, sensitive, and enjoyed the company of people and pets.

A funeral and reception will be held in Kirkland, WA to celebrate Orville’s life. The date and time to be determined and will be updated on this page.
