

Reid was born on April 14, 1940 in Yakima, Washington. He grew up along with his two sisters in Selah and graduated from Selah High School in 1958.
After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served in the South Pacific for 4 years.
On April 4, 1964, Reid married the love of his life, Linda McArthur. They moved to Bellevue, Washington where they raised their children Joe and Julie. He attended night school at City University to earn his Bachelor of Science degree. He received his CMP in 1984. Reid worked for Puget Power for 35 years and served as the director for NAPM of Western Washington from 1994-1996. When they retired, Reid and Linda moved to the Sun Country Golf Course community in Cle Elum to enjoy their retirement.
Reid loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed square dancing, camping, boating, golfing, skiing, gardening, traveling and helping others. He especially enjoyed his time in Lake Chelan and the lifelong friends he met at Mill Bay.
Reid is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Linda Kinne, his son Joe (Krista) Kinne of Renton, WA, his grandchildren Makayla (8) and Jackson (5) of Renton, WA, his sister Mariann (Dick) Kay of Eugene, OR, his sister-in-law Mary Lynn (Bill) Graber of Kirkland, WA, his brother-in-law Shirl McArthur of Reston, VA, his mother-in-law Edith McArthur of Yakima, WA as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Agatha and Orris, his twin sister Barbara and his daughter Julie.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held at the Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 1215 145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA 98807 on Saturday October 19th 2013 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Seattle Children’s hospital or the Upper Kittitas County Senior Center in memory of Reid Kinne.
