

Renee Sue Burrs was born on January 10, 1943, in Los Angeles, California. Renee grew up in both West Los Angeles and Encino, California, with her older brother, Mickey, and her parents Albert and Shirley Burrs. For her undergraduate degree, Renee first attended San Fernando Valley State College, now known as Cal State University, Northridge. She later transferred colleges to San Francisco State University, in San Francisco, California and graduated with a degree in Art in the mid 1960’s. After graduating college, Renee returned to Southern California and worked in Social Services for a decade in the San Fernando Valley. Renee happily married Jack Donner in June 1975. They have two children Lindsay (Jordan) and Michele.
Renee and her family traveled for many years in their motorhome named "Bossy" across all the Western US. During the 1990’s and 2000’s, the Donner Family then traveled extensively internationally; as Renee was an Anglophile, they most often travelled to England, her favorite country. Renee always hoped to have tea with the Queen.
Renee loved collecting Madame Alexander, Terri Lee, and Cabbage Patch Kid dolls. She was an active member of her doll club. Renee was an avid gardener, growing beautiful perennial gardens. She held the Landscaping Chair position in her local HOA in Washington. Renee loved dogs and had multiple lap dogs in her lifetime that she considered her children. Renee loved to read and was up to date on all British Royalty. Renee was known as a collector and loved to collect teacups, ceramics, and bone China. Renee was fondly known as "Moo, Mam, and Mum" by her daughters. Overall, Renee’s biggest accomplishment was her daughters and family.
