Rosa Lee Kong

Rosa Kong, age 69, passed away on October 9, 2022. A resident of Bellevue, WA, Rosa is the dear sister of Mary, Victor (Lucy), Pedro, Luz (Michael), Patrick, William, and George (Nellie). She is the cherished aunt of Merridy, Melissa, Melinda, Hubert, Herbert, Stephen, Lawrence, Avery, Peter, Pia, Jonathan, Jason, Matthew, and Andrew.

Rosa was born in Manila, Philippines on September 13, 1953, the daughter of Wing Kong and Lee Siao Lian. She graduated from the University of the East in Manila in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude. She came to the United States after graduation and earned a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Rosa had a successful career in Information Technology starting with the Ford Motor Company in Detroit. She moved on to Paramount Pictures, Taco Bell and retired from Oracle. She was a highly regarded professional and had received many recognitions for her work.

Rosa was a woman of immense strength and courage. She was witty, compassionate, and generous. She was an inspiration to her siblings, nieces and nephews.

Rosa loved to read, enjoy the movies, and travel with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Rosa will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1215 145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA.
