Sheilah S. Reynolds, 76, died unexpectedly at home in Bellevue, WA, on January 19, 2022, following a hospital stay for a heart condition.
She is survived by her life partner, Chad Petersen, son Aaron Hinkhouse, daughter Kymberly Reynolds; and her grandchildren, Josh Petersen, Ryan Unbedacht, Emma Reynolds; and her siblings Stevie Reynolds (Sig Anderson) of Kansas, Shawn Reynolds, Tom Reynolds (Kathy), Kevin Reynolds (Janet) of Iowa; and 9 nieces and nephews, 15 grand nieces and nephews, and 2 great-grand nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret P. Sheehan and Thomas H. Reynolds.
Sheilah was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on May 5, 1945. She graduated from high school in Eugene, Oregon, and lived most of her life in Washington. She earned a college degree after having her family, spent several years in hotel hospitality, and had a long career in administrative support at Paccar Industries.
Once retired, she committed to helping women and girls through the Soroptimists; and became an active volunteer at the Bellevue Botanical Center. She delighted in her book and garden clubs, made custom jewelry, entertained effortlessly, and cared for a pack of dogs who graced holiday cards over the years.
Sheilah will always be remembered by a wide circle of family and friends. She will be missed for her joy, warmth, and generosity, as well as for staying ever so young.
