April 7, 1929 ~ October 5, 2010
Sid passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born in Seattle and graduated in 1947 from Lake Washington High School in Kirkland. In his early years he and Rita enjoyed rodeo events and trick riding. He and his wife of 62 years raised their family on Cougar Mountain in Issaquah. It was a wonderful life full of horses, cattle and hard work. He worked at Boeing for 23 years. Later he joined his father, Sid Martin Sr. in the Real Estate business where he became an owner/ broker and later a home appraiser as well.
His first passion was his family. He was a good conservative and hard work was how he defined his life. His love of hunting and fishing filled his weekends and traveling anywhere with Rita was his favorite past time.
In recent years, he loved playing pool at The Station. He lived a life of love for his family and the outdoors. He was a man of his words and was generous to his family and friends.
We will all miss him very much.
He is survived by his wife Rita; children, Mike Martin, (Jennifer King), Dan Martin (Pamela), Barb Taylor (Dick), Lisa Coleman (Jeff); and 11 grandchildren, Georgeanna, Casey (Susie), Megan (Chris), Cody, Sarah (Tim), Justin, Kaylin, Brent, Ky, Hannah, Ian and great grandson “peanut” and Bonnie Martin.
