

Stephen Bennet Wax, beloved husband and father, passed away at age 71 on January 17th, 2017. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to Louis Wax and Evelyn Rosenberg. He attended Stuyvesant High School and City University of New York-Brooklyn. He worked as an editor and writer for Boeing for thirty years prior to his retirement in 2008.
Steve was an avid reader and a gifted writer and musician. He shared his love of language and music with all around him. He was an inspiring music and writing tutor; his belief, commitment, and encouragement live on in his students’ achievements. Steve will be remembered by his friends and family for his loyalty, generosity, and positive spirit. He was a loving and devoted father and husband. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda Chessin; their children Jennifer and Seth; his son Trace and Trace’s mother Miriam; and his sons-in-law Robert Fodor and Chris Turner. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Phyllis. Steve leaves his many loving family members and friends with an inspirational collection of poems and musical compositions.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, February 5th, 2017 at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 1215 145th Place SE, Bellevue.
