Thọ Văn Mai of Bellevue, Washington passed away on May 8th, 2025, at the age of 61. He was born on March 14th, 1964, in Saigon, Vietnam where he grew up with his parents and siblings and graduated from high school in Vietnam before he immigrated to the U.S. in 1982.
After arriving in the U.S., he worked as dishwasher part-time while in school, electrical technician, fisherman, and clothing shipper.
He graduated from Lake Washington Vocational in July 1989 with a Program & Manual Machinist certification.
He worked 6-7 days a week before diabetes made it challenging for him to work and retired early in 2008. After getting sick, he liked to go grocery shopping, eat dim sum, cooking, and traveling to Canada.
He is survived by his wife Thao Phạm and his children Jimmy Mai, Michael Mai, Betty Mai.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Sunset Hill Funeral Home 1215 145th Pl SE Bellevue, WA 98007 on May 14th, 2025, at 10am-4pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 9:30am.
