Glen Robert Currier was born on April 24, 1956 in Downey, California, to Everett and Elizabeth Currier. He grew up in Norwalk playing baseball and loving animals, including snakes and mice. Glen was fantastic on roller skates. Glen graduated from Norwalk High School in 1974. It was in high school that Glen began attending Calvary Chapel where he became a believer in Christ. After high school, Glen joined the work force at the Gould Bass Company in Pomona, working as a manufacturing and wiring technician for 25 years. In the early 1980’s, Glen bought a little house in Bellflower which he eventually enlarged to a spacious two story home. Glen met Lorraine and fell in love in 1989.They were married April 8, 1995. Glen and Lorraine had twin daughters, Alexandra and Annalise, in 1997. Glen doted on his lively, beautiful twin daughters and attended all their theatre, dance and choir events. In 2003, Glen went back to school to get his Bachelor’s Degree. At the same time, Glen became Mr. Mom to the girls. Glen spent hours on the road driving the girls to and from school. He was also known to drive Lorraine to work. Glen was a loving and kind caregiver to his mom during her later years, as well as to Lorraine when she was ill. Glen is a man of many hobbies. He was a skilled gardener who could graft trees and grow prolific amounts of vegetables. Glen enjoyed baking the delicious recipes that he inherited from his mom. He had an artistic bent and made beautiful hand crafted wood items. Glen was also a jack-of-all trades and could fix anything around the home. Among his other endeavors, Glen wrote a children’s book and made beautiful pottery pieces. But most of all, Glen helped those in need. If anyone needed help with a project, Glen was there. He was always giving of himself and thoughtful of others. Glen was devoted to his family and selflessly gave of himself to them. On February 23, 2019, Glen was not feeling well and was admitted to the hospital in Downey. He unexpectedly passed away that evening. Glen leaves behind his loving wife, beautiful daughters, and many wonderful friends and family members. Glen is now in heaven with Jesus, the one he came to know and love in high school. Glen lived a wonderful life and will be deeply missed!
