Our church family has often prayed for you and your family as Grant Griffith's Aunt Irene. We continue to pray for the family at this time of loss.

I am Grant Griffith's sister-in-law (Betty Griffith's sister).  As a really extended family member, she has been a special person to me and I have loved her and her family.

You were the only Grandmother that I ever had. You were also a dear friend. I miss our phone conversations so much! You will always be in my heart!

I am the oldest living niece (or nephew) so I have had the advantage of more years to know our Aunt Irene---"What a classy lady!!  My husband, Ed, and I were blessed to be able to see her in her home and visit with her just a few years ago, and, of course she was the perfect hostess!  I have made it a habit to call Aunt Irene usually weekly, and to write letters often.  I was planning on another trip westward this year---just had the feeling lately that I needed to go again, but that was not to be.  She was so determined to live as long as possible even with her various physical illnesses, to keep her home (and she DID keep her home in good order as she always had) for Randy.  Aunt Irene, you were loved!

My Aunt Irene was my father George Duvall's sister. Since I was the youngest child in our family I did not see my aunt as much as other's got to. It was really only at my mom's funeral, when I was 45 years old that I really got to know aunt Irene. To me she seemed very intelligent (like all my aunts and uncles), and very nice and kind, and wonderfully animated of character. I wish I had had more time to get to know her better. Aunt Irene - yes, indeed! Going to miss you. But there must be something about those August Babies - they are full of snap and sparkle. And you had that in abundance!
